Culture Art & Industry  Convergence Center Logo

Logo concept created for the Culture Art & Industry Convergence Center in Seoul, South Korea.

Concept 1:

For this logo, I attempted to incorporate elements from the South Korean flag with wire-frame elements found in contemporary Korean art and sculpture. The circle encompasses the letters representing unity and connectivity. In the South Korean flag, the Yin-Yang is represented by the transition between red and blue. The red starts at the beginning of the circle as the positive force of the Yin-Yang or Taiji. The blue comes in towards the end to signify the negative force of the Yin-Yang or Taiji. In total there are 6 elements in the circle representing the 6 different elements on the South Korean Flag. Placed on a white background to signify Peace and Purity, the text is in black to support the trigrams that are on the flag as well.

Concept 2:

For this logo, The red circle starts at the beginning of the letters as the positive force of the Yin-yang or Taiji. The blue comes in towards the end to signify the negative force of the Yin-yang or Taiji. In total there are 6 circle elements representing the 6 different elements on the South Korean Flag. The 3 red cancel out the 3 blue to create harmony. Placed on a white background to signify Peace and Purity, the text is in black to support the trigrams that are on the flag as well.
